The Krönchen Bistro & Café is a bit of everything – and all the better for it.

Every Tuesday we serve a changing lunch menu, always vegetarian, sometimes vegan. Add to that our homemade cakes and good coffee, and you’ve got the perfect mid-hike pit stop (or a very good reason not to start hiking at all).

Just walk in and make yourself at home.

Venue Hire – Events & Celebrations

This is a proper village centre venue with a lot of character. The building is old – the cellar dates back to around 1850 – but it’s been renovated and extended so many times that calling the style “renovation” is probably the most honest description. In the 1960s, half of the neighbouring house was absorbed into the space. Walls came down, steel beams went in, right angles became optional. The result? Around 80 square metres of warm, wonderfully wonky gathering space, complete with a full kitchen, a bar, loos (including a baby changing station), a kids’ chair, a projector, and a sound system.

You can hire the space for:

• Birthday parties and celebrations
• Bringing your own caterer – or cooking yourself
• Wine tastings, whisky tastings, gin tastings
• Post-hike dinners (we can help with contacts)
• Club events, fundraisers, coffee mornings
• Testing a food concept before you open your own restaurant

Basically: if you can dream it, we can probably make it happen here.
