Christian and Marcel, lived in other cities before they found their homebase in Oberwesel. They love hiking and good accommodation, so they do their best to offer a charming home to other guests.

Our house »Krönchen Oberwesel«

The house »Krönche Oberwesel« was founded in 1850. The old cellar still shows this history. It was a tiny food-shop for a long time, then was merged with the neighbour-house in the 60s. Now it is fully renovated (not from outside, still in progress) and a modern guesthouse. It is in the middle of Oberwesel, in the historic centre.

We hope you will feel good here and you’ll have a fantastic stay in World Heritage Oberes Mittelrheintal and Oberwesel.

leasure time

hiking:
We recommend to hike throuh the lovely vinyards, directly next to Oberwesel. You’ll have fantastic points of view and nice places to have a break. All the paths are accessable with normal hard shoes.

sports:
The Valley of middle rhine is perfect for cyclists, hikers and all watersports like rafting. But be aware: the Rhine looks calm but is dangerous!

Restaurants:
There are many nice restaurenats in Oberwesel and nearby. We have tested most of them and love to help you with a recommendation. There are »Straußwirtschaften«, too, run by winemakes with own wine, small dishes and lovely atmosphere.

Kids:
If your kids love knights, castles and princesses, you will have a great time here. There is no place on the world with more castles like the Middle-Rhine.

Riesling:
dry, honey. Always dry.
